Editorial Director Vicky Blunden has acquired World English Language rights in ebook, POD and audio, to two new historical novels by established novelist Clare Flynn. The Tea Planter’s Secret will publish in May 2026, followed by The Monsoon’s Gift in November 2026.

The new books continue Clare Flynn’s latest series which began with The Star of Ceylon, published 9 June this year; an absorbing and atmospheric novel of forbidden love set in the twilight of British Ceylon – now Sri Lanka. From the optimism of the early 1900s to the uncertainty of the 1950s, these powerful continuations of the Ceylon series follow the generations as they navigate love, loss, and the changing face of empire, in the corridors of Colonial power, the tea plantations of Kandy, and on the battlefields of two world wars.

Clare Flynn is the author of nineteen books and is loved by readers for her epic, sweeping historical novels set during vividly realised turbulent times.
