We’re delighted that Editorial Director Vicky Blunden has acquired World All Language rights, including film and TV, for two new rom coms by Kristen Bailey, recently shortlisted for the RNA Jane Wenham-Jones Romantic Comedy Novel Award. The first book, Sex Ed, publishing in July, tells the story of English-teacher Mia and Science-teacher Ed, best friends and colleagues, who come to an unusual and hilarious arrangement when Mia finds out her lovable, attractive but super-straight-laced friend is a virgin.
“I’m not going to lie – when I finished my call with Vicky at Storm to talk books, I hung up and did a dance to Beyonce’s Cuff It around my kitchen. Sometimes you just know you’ve come across something very special. Vicky, Oliver and the Storm team have really impressed me with their innovation, expertise and vision – there’s an embracing positive energy here and I LOVE that my romantic comedies will be a part of that.”
“I’m a huge fan of Kristen’s totally addictive writing and readers are going to absolutely love Sex Ed. It’s brilliantly funny, warm, sexy and uplifting; I laughed non-stop reading it and didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait for readers to fall in love with Mia and Ed and their irresistible friendship too.”
