Storm is thrilled to share the news that bestselling author Jenny O’Brien has signed a contract for three books in a new police procedural series featuring detective Alan Mack. World English Language rights, including audio, were acquired from Nicola Barr of The Bent Agency.
Jenny O’Brien is the author of thirteen books, including the Gaby Darin detective series published by HQ Digital (HarperCollins). Deputy Managing Director Claire Bord will publish the new Alan Mack series with the first title launching in October 2023, followed by the second book in February 2024 and the third title in summer 2024.
Jenny says,
“I’m thrilled to be working with Claire, Oliver, and all at Storm Publishing on my Detective Alan Mack series. It’s been wonderful planning this new project. Now it’s time to bring these books to my readers and by a team as passionate about Alan’s character as I am.”
Claire Bord commented,
“We’re absolutely delighted to be publishing Jenny’s new detective series featuring Alan Mack – an utterly brilliant and tenacious female detective with plenty of heart. As a wheelchair user, Alan faces unique challenges on the job that we rarely see in lead detective characters in police procedurals. We are excited to introduce such a dynamic and underrepresented character to the world of crime fiction and can’t wait to see how readers respond to her.”
