Melissa Boyce-Hurd has joined the Storm Publishing team as Editorial Assistant, reporting to Kathryn Taussig, Publisher.

Melissa has experience as an editorial Intern at Cornerstones Literary Consultancy, working on their Elevate Mentorship Programme for underrepresented authors where she learnt invaluable editing skills. She also interned with Lantana Publishing to aid with their goal of improving representation in children’s fiction and reads manuscripts for London Literary Scouting to recommend new books for screen adaptations.

Kathryn Taussig remarked on the appointment:

Melissa was a stand-out candidate. I know she’ll do an outstanding job for our authors and I expect her to progress quickly at Storm. I’m excited to be working with her.

Melissa, who has already started at Storm, said of the move:
