Claire Bord | Deputy Managing Director
Claire Bord began her publishing career at Michael Joseph, a commercial imprint of Penguin Random House, working across a range of bestselling fiction and non-fiction before moving to HarperCollins where she headed up the editorial team at Avon. In 2013, Claire joined Bookouture where she published repeat number one, multi-million-copy bestselling authors including Angela Marsons, Gregg Olsen, and Robert Bryndza. At Storm, Claire will be on the lookout for great storytelling with universal appeal, whether it’s a detective series, psychological thriller, historical novel, true crime story, or inspirational memoir. She works collaboratively with her authors to perfect their work and give them every chance of becoming a bestseller. Whether launching a debut writer or taking an author’s existing audience to new heights, Claire is always focused on giving authors the very best publishing experience and ultimately, building them successful long-term careers.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys adventures with her family including sailing, stomping through a forest, or cycling in the countryside. She also loves any excuse to throw a party for family and friends which always involves plenty of food and music.

“All authors wish for someone like Claire Bord to shepherd their books into the hands of readers. Claire has the soul and mindset of a genuine storyteller. Lovely to work with, brilliant and funny, she’s collaborative in all the right ways. ”
