Elke Desanghere started her career as a marketer in online gaming before moving into publishing so she could work on one of her passions: books. Since then she’s gained experience at Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Nosy Crow and Hachette where she has built up her knowledge of marketing fiction, non-fiction and even children’s books.
Originally from Belgium but having spent nearly ten years in the UK, she’s always ready to master new digital tools and dive into consumer data. Elke makes it her mission to find out exactly what readers want and how best to reach them. When she’s not stuck with her nose in a book or browsing the web for innovation, Elke can usually be found on stage doing amateur dramatics, travelling, volunteering or lavishing attention on her very needy cat Dorian.
