Heather Morrison is the award wining author of The Herbalist and Highland Magic, with sequels to both books in the works! She is a nationally licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist with a practice in Kennebunk, Maine, where she lives with her children and house full of animals. Heather is a dual US/UK citizen and grew up spending school years at home in the New York area and summers in Great Britain with her family. She loves running, reading, and long walks on the beach with her dogs.

Heather has a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine, and she completed an internship in acupuncture & herbal medicine at a top hospital in Beijing. She also has a master’s degree from the University of Chicago in Social Science. Heather spent time each summer in Maine where she fell in love with the state, and after living in New York, San Francisco, Paris, and Santa Fe, she moved there and never plans to leave! To her, Maine has the kind of magic that she loves to write about – that special something you can’t quite put your finger on, but that you can feel all around.
