Oliver Rhodes | Managing Director
After working in traditional publishing for over ten years, Oliver Rhodes founded ground-breaking digital publisher Bookouture in 2012. One of the most successful publishing start-ups of the decade, Bookouture was acquired by Hachette in 2017 and has sold over 60 million copies. After becoming part of Hachette, Oliver continued as Bookouture CEO, became Digital Publishing Director of Hachette UK and serving on the company’s board for three years.
Always looking ten years ahead, Oliver is fascinated by the potential of maximising human ingenuity and creativity with the support of technology. He couldn’t resist the chance to reimagine what publishing could look like in the years to come and with that, Storm Publishing was born.
Oliver lives just outside of London and enjoys spending time with his young family, long pub lunches, swimming and – when his children can be persuaded – walks in the country. He loves to travel and is happiest relaxing at a quiet beach on a Greek island.

“‘Oliver Rhodes is brilliant, innovative, and always looking ahead of the market for the ‘next big thing’ in publishing. But more than that, Oliver cares about his authors and their journey. He knows that happy authors write great books, and great books make great sales. Thanks to Oliver and his team, I’ve now sold over one million books, am a USA Today bestseller, and a happy author!’”
