Editorial Director Vicky Blunden has acquired World All Language rights in a new five-book series by Kate Wiley. The first book, In the Blood, will publish in February 2024, and introduces homicide detective Margot Phalen.

Margot wishes she could forget who she is. At fifteen, she learned the inescapable truth that her father Ed was a serial killer who for decades used the Bay Area as his hunting ground. Twenty years later, she has spent her whole life trying to make amends for his misdeeds. But as she and her partner try to unravel the mystery of a murdered family whose sole survivor is giving them more questions than answers, Margot’s past rears its ugly head.

Kate Wiley is an established crime writer who has published in multiple genres; she writes cozy mysteries as Gretchen Rue, and the popular Secret McQueen supernatural thriller / urban fantasy series as Sierra Dean. Witches’ Brew, her supernatural rom-com series, will be published in the UK by Head of Zeus.

Wiley says,
