Deputy Managing Director Claire Bord acquired World All Language rights in ebook, paperback, and audio directly from the author Jenny O’Brien.

The Threads of Resistance series follows Flora Toussaint, a seamstress forced to give up her newborn twins in 1924. Eighteen years later, packing parachutes for the RAF in Manchester, British intelligence makes her an offer: go undercover in Nazi-occupied Paris to find her daughters. The first book follows Flora’s dangerous mission, while books two and three follow her daughters’ stories, with each woman using a different needlecraft as her own form of resistance – dressmaking, crochet, and embroidery become weapons against the Nazis. Inspired by true events including parachute silk wedding dresses and Moulin Rouge performers, O’Brien delivers meticulously researched historical detail while exploring timeless themes of family separation, identity, and sacrifice.
