Storm Publishing is delighted to announce that we have signed a sequel to multi-million-copy bestselling author Kate Hewitt’s acclaimed novel The Last Stars in the Sky. Publisher Kathryn Taussig signed World all language rights in ebook, paperback and audio for The Midnight Hour.

Hewitt’s first book for Storm, The Last Stars in the Sky, was published in January of this year and hit the Amazon bestseller charts in both the US and UK on publication. It follows protagonist Alex, her husband and three children, as they struggle to survive a massive nuclear fall-out from their isolated lake house in rural Ontario. Full of moments of beauty and connection as well as drama and suspense, readers have called it ‘heartbreaking, raw and powerful’ and ‘emotionally charged’.  To be published in early 2025, the story of The Midnight Hour will pick up where The Last Stars in the Sky finished, as Alex and her family leave the safety of their lake house for the terrifying world beyond.
