Editorial Director Vicky Blunden has acquired World All Language rights in two psychological thrillers from debut author S. J. King.  Taut, propulsive and gripping, King’s first novel is a high-concept domestic thriller in which a woman who moves her family to an idyllic, high-tech community discovers that the perfect façade hides dark and alarming secrets.

King says,

“From Vicky’s first email that dropped as I sat in an industrial carpark in Sweden to our first call after my 20-hr flight to China, Vicky has given me so much energy and enthusiasm with every interaction. Her passion for getting the best from me as a writer and building a broad readership for my stories feels genuinely fantastic. She gets my dark psychological plots, and collaborating with her is both fun and insightful. As I’ve been watching Storm emerge to be a progressive, author-focused, successful publisher I’m absolutely delighted that my books have their home with this team.”

Blunden says,

“S. J. is unbelievably talented and her writing is addictive, combining brilliantly clever   concepts with sharp, twisty plotting, characters you can’t help but root for, and rich, complex family relationships. They’re beautifully written and impossible to put down – a winning combination! We’re so excited to launch her career as a thriller writer and know readers are going to love her books.”
