Storm Publishing are thrilled to announce a joint venture with Italian publishing powerhouse Giunti Editore, marking a bold new chapter of international expansion and creative collaboration.

Under the agreement, Giunti Editore will acquire a 20% stake in Storm Publishing, becoming both investor and strategic partner. Together, the two companies will publish Storm titles in Italian, combining Giunti’s deep cultural heritage and retail reach with Storm’s data-driven, digital-first approach to global publishing.

The partnership will see Storm’s bestselling authors translated and published in print across Giunti’s 280+ Giunti al Punto bookstores and through its extensive distribution network. Storm will manage the ebook publishing of translated titles, giving authors the best of both worlds – expansive print reach and digital innovation.

The first Italian-language Storm titles are expected to launch in the first half of 2026.

This collaboration comes at a pivotal moment for Storm, which has sold over 3 million copies worldwide since its first titles launched in May 2023. Founded by Oliver Rhodes, previously CEO and founder of Bookouture, Storm has rapidly established itself as a leader in digital-first publishing, with a growing list of 100+ authors and more than 500 books signed. It has also recently expanded its reach across US bookstores through its print sales and distribution partnership with Two Rivers Distribution.

For Giunti Editore – Italy’s second largest publisher and the country’s biggest bookstore chain – the joint venture reflects a continued strategy of expansion and innovation under the leadership of Andrea Giunti, one of Forbes Italy’s “Top 100 under 30”. Giunti already holds more than a 30% share in UK-based The Quarto Group. 

Together, Storm and Giunti aim to bridge markets, languages, and technologies, championing creativity and shared growth between two of Europe’s most dynamic publishing companies.
